The asparagus are weighed in rotating retaining arms; when the required weight has been reached, the arms pivots to allow the first tie to be added; another half turn enables the second tie to be correctly positioned.
The bundle is now ready for packaging.
A single operator can achieve more than 150 bundles per hour.
